Responsibilities Act as senior benefits consultant for the employee benefits experience to improve the executive and physician "high touch" programs and high-level issue resolution. Leverage historical, institutional, and industry knowledge to define and implement benefits delivery and support structure that meets the needs of diverse and growing workforce.
Benefits Subject Matter Expert
High level resolution of complex benefits appeals and point of escalation for complex HR Shared Services employee benefits issues, with special emphasis on health plan escalations.
Continuing education for benefits programs and changes.
Lead and participate in various special projects, including new executive and physician benefit rollouts, open enrollment, and acquisition/integrations.
Counsel management and employees on existing benefits
Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Maintain contact in person, and by phone or email, with hospitals, physicians, employees and beneficiaries, and vendors to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees
Monitor the Time Away program in partnership with the Leave team (FMLA, STD/LTD, Paid Leave, ADA).
Benefits Communications
Leads benefits content development and management. Coordinates between our benefits team, vendors (EAP, Wellness Team, Castlight, etc.), Shared Services, and internal & external communications consultants on content ranging from OE, new plan implementations, pre-hire/new hire through retirement, acquisitions, employee life cycle.
Benefits Communication Insourcing program oversight.
Partner with internal communication team to develop and administer ongoing communication and education plans to ensure that team members clearly understand their benefits, the value of those benefits and how best to use the services available to them.
Update all Benefits communications on the intranet and external microsite; ensure clarity, accuracy, accessibility, and brand alignment.
Maintain a content calendar tied to OE, qualifying events, wellness campaigns, and regulatory changes.
Benefits Vendor Oversight and Management
Complete all benefits benchmark surveys (e.g., industry, regional, health plan, retirement, wellbeing), and perform industry comparisons to inform strategy, cost, and competitiveness.
Manage SLAs and Performance Guarantees with vendors; track scorecards and elevate/correct performance gaps.
Focus on Health Plan Network strategy (e.g., tiering, centers of excellence, steerage, access, leakage reduction, and quality outcomes).
Partner with consultants/actuaries and Population Health/Clinical leaders to align cost, quality, and experience goals.
Executive and Physician Benefits
Executive and Physician benefit oversight.
Knowledge leader and purveyor of executive and physician benefit program education and information.
Oversight and resource for executive services associate. Delete?
High level servicing and resolution of physician and executive questions, requests, and issues.
Lead development efforts with TAM on executive & physician pre-boarding, onboarding, and assist with benefits navigation and questions.
Lead analysis and implementation of executive and physician specific benefits.
Employee Benefits Experience
Own end-to-end benefits delivery and employee experience, ensuring plans are easy to understand, access, and use.
Plan all Benefits and Wellness fairs (logistics and coordination) including vendor participation, onsite/virtual setup, materials, and engagement tracking.
Partner with internal champions to drive participation in care management, wellbeing, and preventive care.
Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Seven (7)+ years of experience of progressive responsibility in designing, implementing and maintaining benefit plans and programs; managing vendors and coordinating annual enrollment and other employee facing events.
