
A privately held financial organization headquartered in Dallas is hiring an
Associate Tax Director
to help lead day‑to‑day tax operations and support strategic decision‑making across its investment and corporate platforms. This individual will serve as a key resource to internal stakeholders and play a central role in guiding tax policy, planning, and risk management.
The position offers meaningful ownership over sophisticated tax work while maintaining the support of a collaborative, well‑resourced team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee tax compliance for investment partnerships, management entities, and high‑net‑worth ownership structures
Lead tax research efforts and advise on the implications of new investments, transactions, and entity restructurings
Partner directly with senior executives on planning, modeling, and tax‑efficient strategies
Manage data flow from accounting, reporting, and operations functions to ensure accuracy and completeness
Maintain and enhance internal tax policies, documentation, and workflow systems
Coordinate with external advisors on specialized issues including cross‑border tax matters
Support provisioning, audit responses, and ongoing risk evaluations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; CPA or Master’s in Tax strongly preferred
7-12+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally within partnerships, private equity, hedge funds, or complex investments
Strong command of federal and state partnership tax rules
Exceptional communication skills and ability to advise senior decision‑makers
Strategic mindset with the willingness to remain hands‑on when needed
