Total Rentals is looking for a sharp and dependable Inside Counter Sales professional to support walk‑in and call‑in customers, process equipment rentals, and help keep our showroom and yard operations in top shape.
What You’ll Be Doing Customer‑Facing Support
Greet walk‑in customers and answer phone inquiries with professionalism and urgency
Understand customer equipment needs, provide quotes, and process rental transactions
Assist customers with equipment use questions or coordinate with the right team member
Ensure the showroom and equipment displays are clean, organized, and fully stocked
Sales, Rentals & Operations
Handle inside sales and rentals of new and used construction tools and equipment
Coordinate deliveries and pick‑ups with dispatch
Support outside sales with quoting, documentation, and system updates
Perform daily audits of overdue rentals and assist with follow‑up
System & Shop Coordination
Open and close the branch with proper security procedures
Use rental software to check availability, manage contracts, and schedule orders
Organize equipment returns, prep tools for the next rental, and keep the space orderly
Collaborate with the branch manager and team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
What You’ll Need To Succeed
3+ years of customer service or inside sales experience (rental or equipment industry a plus)
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and follow‑through skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and rental or inventory systems
High school diploma or GED
Willingness to work a Monday–Friday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM schedule (potential shift to 4x10s, Mon–Thurs)
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay active throughout your shift
Salary offers are typically made between the entry and midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.
Pay Transparency: $25 USD – $30 USD
