Description
The Field Sales Development (FSD) Manager is the first line manager of 10 to 12 FSD representatives. The FSD Manager works in the Duluth, GA office, and is responsible for teaching and motivating the FSD representatives to achieve their targeted number of interactions, desired level of call quality, and targeted number of sales orders. The FSD Manager is also responsible for guiding the development of all FSD representatives through four phases of development over an 18‑24 month time period such that they move from sales development to Field Sales representative.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for managing a team of Field Sales Development representatives to achieve sales objectives (order quota and product gates)
Has indirect management responsibility over the FSD team lead
Partners with HR and direct management team in external recruiting, selecting, hiring, and onboarding new FSD representatives
Provides daily training, coaching, and guidance to FSD representatives enabling them to complete the targeted number of phone interactions while maintaining quality levels
Conducts monthly call evaluations and conducts one‑on‑one coaching with each employee to improve call quality
Works with Field District Managers to place FSD representatives into field territories for three‑month (3‑month) cover assignments
Travels to any state in which a direct report is on a cover‑assignment to conduct ride‑with assessments. Travel depends upon the number of cover assignments their direct reports go on, but there is a minimum requirement of two (2) trips per FSD representative
Maintains weekly contact with any direct report while he/she is on cover assignments, and makes monthly contact with the District Managers to track the FSD representative's progress
Responsible for keeping up with, and sharing information on, the changing animal health marketplace (new products, new competitive products, etc.) and the impact the changes have on sales programs and inside selling techniques
Highly regulated business (FDA, USDA, EU, EMEA, DEA, EPA) Market Urgency, Legal Environment, Political Situation, Creativity and Innovation, Functions/OPUs,People(diversity, education level), Inter‑departmental/cross‑country/external interfaces
Performs all company business in accordance with all regulations and company policies and procedures. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to maintain BIAH’s excellent reputation within the community
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
A minimum of five (5) years outside sales and/or related experience in the animal health/related industry
Must possess strong leadership and coaching skills to maximize performance results of the department
Must demonstrate good judgment and decision‑making skills
Must possess thorough technical/customer/market knowledge, excellent presentation skills and the ability to assimilate and analyze data to develop tactical action steps to achieve sales results
Should have a sustained record of solid performance results
Eligibility Requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
Must be willing to take a drug test and post‑offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
Desired Skills, Experience And Abilities
Preferred: Experience with internal systems such as Salesforce, SuccessFactors, MS Outlook/PPT/Excel
