Overview

The Sales Representative will identify, develop, sell and service customers in the ready-mix/concrete and building materials market. Responsible for consulting, bidding projects, customer service, generating new business, retaining/growing existing business and participating in trade associations and community involvement for assigned territories. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Sales: Prepare quotes for customers providing information on pricing in accordance with the established pricing matrix, quality of products, and services. Place orders with the appropriate department and monitor product and delivery of orders. Sales: Create a clear business strategy for key accounts (increase share, protect existing customer base, communicate new value-added products and services, etc.). Sales: Prepare projected business outlook for assigned territories. Sales: Compile information and prepare accurate sales reports. Customer/Employee Relations

Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customer base within assigned territories. Collaborate with Billing and Credit Departments to provide efficient resolutions to instill customer satisfaction. Assist Operation Managers, Dispatchers and Technical Services as required for customer service, project status reports, and resolution of problems. Act on leads and referrals while identifying new prospects. Actively participate in networking events such as community events, industry events, trade associations, meetings, seminars and non-profit activities to promote the company products and services. Field customer complaints/problems regarding billing, quality, quantity, and service. Entertain customers to develop and enhance effective customer relations. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to company safety policies. Meet all safety guidelines when on construction sites and company operations. Participate in continuing education to stay advanced in industry knowledge. Adhere to company policies. Global Responsibilities

Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor’s degree preferred General knowledge of Ready-Mix/Concrete products and Building Materials A solid understanding of the Ready-Mix market, competition, and business opportunities Experience: Ready-Mix or Building materials sales preferred Skills/Abilities: Excellent aptitude for customer service Competitive and highly motivated Proficient in Microsoft Suite Able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Effective problem solver Working Conditions

Operation within a professional office environment Driving your assigned territory and visiting job sites Operation within job sites which may include outdoors exposure to temperature extremes, moisture, dust and noise Frequent periods of standing and walking on various surfaces Occasional exposure to moving equipment and machinery parts Routine usage of standard office equipment Flexible hours as needed; work may require weekends Local travel driving required 80% of the time; occasional domestic travel as needed Physical Requirements

Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods Occasionally required to climb ladders, steps and construction projects Occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Must be able to maneuver in and around plants, yards and jobsites as necessary Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Salary:
