A Day In The Life

The PR & Affiliate Specialist supports PR & Affiliate production for our client roster. This position is responsible for creating pitching materials and reporting to maintain account sentiment and performance. This person also supports creative campaign ideation and compelling media pitches that will build, maintain and grow a client’s reputation, credibility and brand awareness. This includes increasing clients overall media presence through securing authoritative media placements and brand, social, and unique affiliate partnerships.

Responsibilities

Drafting written materials such as bios, fact sheets, award submissions, agendas, and various client communications

Monitoring press coverage for clients and competitors, and updating client‑facing reports as needed

Creating and updating media lists and ideating/researching relevant contacts for partnerships

Support in developing and managing innovative affiliate marketing strategies using a full‑funnel approach across TOFU, MOFU, BOFU, and unique affiliates

Source paid placement and CPA increase opportunities, pitch to client, implement, and measure then report on the success

Coordinating sample sends, gifting, and mailers to media, influencers, and celebrities

Providing administrative support to teams, inclusive of coordinating schedules, assisting with special projects and events, organizing the drive, etc.

Contributes regularly to creative brainstorms

Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes

Utilize and leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it relates to your department

Role Requirements

1-2 years of affiliate and/or media relations experience

Extremely strong attention to detail and follow through

Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills for both client and internal communication

Possesses strong foundation of media and influencer relationships and a firm understanding of all publications and columns relevant to the health, wellness, beauty, fitness and lifestyle verticals

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines

Passion for Affiliate & Public Relations with a keen creative eye

Must be based in New York or the surrounding Tri‑State Area, with the ability to serve as an on‑the‑ground representative for clients by attending media meetings, industry events, and affiliate activations as needed (hybrid flexibility).
