The Digital Communications Coordinator will help Warsaw Community Church fulfill its mission by assisting Communications, primarily digitally, and by supporting the church’s digital strategy, with an emphasis on social media content and management of the WCC website and app.

Qualifications

Growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ; fully embraces WCC’s mission, vision, and values.

Demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit in daily life and ministry relationships.

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 1-3 years in communications, digital marketing, or related field.

Experience with content management systems; familiarity with web, social media, and app best practices and metrics.

Proficiency in design and content tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Apple products, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).

Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and time-management skills; able to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines with a high level of customer service.

Collaborative, self-motivated learner who pursues ongoing skill development; experience with video, photography, ProPresenter, and Resi is a plus.

Job Classification Part Time/Non-Exempt

This part-time, hourly position will average 28 hours per week. This is a hybrid role that can be completed both remotely and, in the office, with a minimum of three days in office determined by the supervisor.

Essential Functions The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

1. Social Media

Creates, schedules, and posts engaging content (text, images, videos, announcements, events)

Leads all WCC digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube

Monitors and responds to messages and comments, fostering a welcoming and positive online community

Develops content that is brand appropriate and search engine optimized

2. Website and App

Provides design and maintenance of the WCC website and app

Coordinates web requests from leadership, directors, and ministry leads

Performs routine audits to ensure all webpages are up to date, optimized, and purposeful

Maintains continuity of page templates and design

Monitors platform traffic and collects data through various metrics-based systems, ensuring effective engagement

Seeks ways to improve the user experience for visitors of WCC’s digital platforms

3. General Communications Assistance

Assists Comms Team through special projects, print or design support, other digital work

Assists in interdepartmental deliverables as needed

Standards

Works closely with ministries to uphold the integrity of the WCC brand

Upholds consistent brand and style standards across all communications channels and ministries

Stays current on communications, digital trends, methodologies, technologies and best practices
