AI Compliance Platform
NYC, On-Site
About the Role
We're a fast-growing, well-funded AI compliance platform helping regulated financial firms automate the work their teams used to do manually—communications monitoring, trade surveillance, marketing reviews, employee compliance, and firm oversight—all in one intelligent platform. The firms that used to spend hundreds of hours on regulatory busywork now do it in minutes.
We've grown significantly over the past year and the product is working: revenue is strong, customers are real and paying, and we're scaling fast. Now we're hiring our first
Staff Product Designer
to make great design a core competitive advantage.
You'll work directly with our Head of Product and CTO to define interaction quality across multiple product lines. This is not a pixel-pusher role—it's a design leadership seat for someone who thinks in systems, communicates in outcomes, and wants to shape how an entire industry navigates compliance.
What You'll Do
Own end-to-end UX
across our compliance product lines—from first login to full workflow completion
Design
executive dashboards , workflow automation flows, and audit-ready interfaces for compliance officers and their teams at financial firms
Be the
strategic design partner
to product and engineering leadership on how complex regulatory data becomes intuitive, usable, beautiful software
Build and steward a
design system
that scales with the company and elevates our junior designers
Mentor and elevate
our in-house junior designers, raising the overall quality bar
Contribute meaningfully to
product discovery —not just execution; your perspective on users will shape what we build
Why This Seat
First senior design hire
at a company that has scaled rapidly—you're not joining after the big decisions are made, you're making them
Real users, real revenue, real stakes —production software for regulated financial firms, not a demo or an MVP
Direct access to founders and leadership
with fast decision cycles and low-ego culture
Path to Head of Design
as the product expands—the company promotes quickly from within
Well-funded with strong momentum —resources to do the work right, and a clear path to continued growth
You'll Thrive Here If You
Have
3–7 years
designing complex B2B SaaS, fintech, or compliance tools with shipped, measurable outcomes
Bring
impeccable craft —both interaction and visual—and can demonstrate systems thinking across tables, forms, states, and edge cases
Have real
0→1 experience
and know how to iterate quickly in resource-constrained environments
Prototype confidently in
Figma
(interactive protos; bonus: LLM-assisted prototyping) and communicate design decisions crisply to engineers and stakeholders
Love
in-person, high-bandwidth collaboration
and bring an owner mindset—you're energized by ambiguity, not paralyzed by it
Can talk to a compliance professional about their workflow challenges and translate that directly into UX decisions
Nice-to-Haves
Domain exposure to fintech, compliance, accounting, or other data-dense B2B workflows
Design-system stewardship at a growth-stage startup
Comfort discussing technical constraints (APIs, data structures, latency) with engineers
What We Offer
Competitive base salary
+ above-market equity
In-person culture with
direct access to founders
and fast decision cycles
Massive ownership—products that move key business metrics for financial institutions, not just pixels on a screen
Clear path to
Head of Design
as we scale
Must-Haves (Logistics)
Based in NYC or willing to relocate;
on-site 5 days/week
(no hybrid/remote)
Work authorization in the U.S. (visa transfer considered on a case-by-case basis)
How to Apply
Apply with your LinkedIn +
portfolio link
(required)
Include 1–2
case studies
that show: the problem you faced, the options you considered, what shipped, and results (metrics, adoption, or lessons learned)
