
Responsible for coordination and supervision of program, staff, and participation in the Summer Camp Program for children ages six through fourteen.

Assists Recreation Manager with organizations, operations and supervision of Summer Camp Program.
Represents Division at assigned program sites and field trips.
Directs recreation counselor staff in responsibilities involved with Summer Camp.
Responsible for opening and closing of facility.
Assists with training, supervision and coordination of staff.
Schedules staff accordingly for Summer Camp Program.
Prepares bi-weekly payroll.
Responsible for general welfare and safety of facility, staff and participants of the program.
Coordinate and account for equipment and supplies needed and used for camp.
Collect and account for site registration, revenues and daily attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Recreation Manager.
Follows safe working practices and has a working knowledge of safety practices and procedures in accordance with the City’s Safety and Health Program.
All employees serve an essential role in the City’s disaster preparation and/or disaster recovery efforts, as may be designated by the City’s Emergency Manager.
Additional Duties Performs related tasks or other duties as required or assigned.
High School graduate, college level desired. Two years directly related supervisory and program experience. Must maintain a valid Florida driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Physical Ability Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 15 pounds). Some tasks involve walking, driving, stooping, bending, kneeling and running.
Sensory Requirements Position requires the ability to communicate orally and visually.
Environmental Factors Essential functions are regularly performed outside in various weather conditions, as well as, inside functions. Elements are also noisy.
Ages of the camp children are 6-14. Camp dates are June 1st through July 31st. Shift times vary from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 40hrs per week.
