Role Description This is a full-time on-site role based in the Greater Syracuse-Auburn Area for a Golf Course Superintendent. The individual in this role will oversee all golf course maintenance operations, including turfgrass management, irrigation, landscape maintenance, and pest control. Responsibilities include managing a team to ensure the course is well-maintained and prepared for play, creating and executing maintenance schedules, and monitoring equipment maintenance. The superintendent will also ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards, manage budgets and resources effectively, and contribute to upholding the club’s overall aesthetic and environmental standards.
Qualifications
Expertise in Turf Management and Golf Course Management
Proficiency in Irrigation systems and water management
Experience with Landscape Maintenance and groundskeeping
Knowledge of pesticide usage, regulations, and environmental safety practices
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to develop and implement maintenance plans within budgetary guidelines
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high-quality golf course experience
Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or related field is preferred
Previous experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or in a similar role
Certification in pesticide application or ability to obtain certification
