The Director of Asset Protection provides strategic leadership and oversight for all organize-wide initiatives designed to safeguard company assets, reduce loss, and strengthen operational integrity across the organization. This role sets the vision for theft and fraud prevention, drives compliance with Asset Protection policies, and ensures consistent execution of risk‑mitigation practices across all locations.
The Director leads the development and implementation of prevention strategies, leveraging data, cross‑functional insights, and industry trends to enhance profitability and reduce exposure. They oversee internal investigations, audit programs, and field assessments, ensuring that findings translate into actionable improvements and long‑term operational resilience.
A key part of the role is building strong partnerships with retail leadership, store teams, and corporate stakeholders to elevate awareness of Asset Protection priorities. The Director models professionalism, maintains appropriate boundaries, and fosters a collaborative environment that supports both compliance and positive customer experiences. They also serve as a strategic partner to the Compliance team, People Services team, and other executive leaders to ensure alignment with organizational standards and regulatory expectations. The ability to prioritize key functions of this position including timely investigations, support operational needs based on emerging events, and timely communication across all areas.
Requirements
Understanding of community needs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to utilize Excel to create mathematical formulas and compare data.
Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
Entrepreneurial approach to problem solving.
Must be able to work independently to achieve goals and outcomes.
Must have good driving record and valid drivers’ license
Budgeting and strategic planning skills.
Physical Requirements
Able to lift and carry 20-100 pounds with team lifting or mechanical assistance
Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods
Able to go up and down steps
Tolerance of extreme changes in temperature and humidity
Must be able to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends or longer shifts if needed. May be required to work more than 40 hours per week
Overnight travel is a requirement.
Applicant must pass DMV check.
