
Overview
The Executive Meetings Manager is responsible for generating conference business from a national market, maximizing sales, developing potential markets and providing sound administration of assigned responsibilities through business evaluation and personal attention to detail. You will be an integral member of the team that actively solicits and handles inquiries of groups. You will participate in the continuing effort to deliver distinctly different guest experiences and nurture lasting relationships with our customers, focusing on building long‑term, value‑based relationships that enable the achievement of optimum sales objectives. You will have a sales goal to achieve each quarter.

Responsibilities
Make sales calls and personal visits to target areas and call on companies and associations in a specific market.
Book meetings, conferences and social guests from assigned areas.
Dedicate majority of time to direct telephone sales.
Rework and maintain existing accounts and solicit and develop new accounts.
Respond to all correspondence from assigned areas and track dates for reworking and follow up.
Conduct site inspections.
Attend trade shows pertinent to assigned areas and attend meetings, seminars and functions.
Perform general office duties and assist other personnel as required.
Maintain constant contact with Corporate and Association meeting planners; maintain membership and contacts in hotel industry associations.
Maintain a working relationship with departments interacting with convention groups.
Develop new accounts by mapping current accounts and asking for referrals.
Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes which would affect operations.
Maintain accurate forecast and recap information.
Maintain constant contact and excellent relationships with rep firms and third‑party contacts.
Achieve group room revenue goal and F&B revenue goals.
Exemplify a positive can‑do attitude and lead by example, fostering a cooperative working climate maximizing employee morale.
Follow resort grooming standards, maintaining a professional image in dress and mannerism, and wearing a name tag at all times.
Achieve sales intensity goals.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum two years of college; a 4‑year degree desirable.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Prefer experience in hotel sales or related industry.
Aggressive, outgoing and self‑motivating individual with a pleasant personality.
