Responsibilities
PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW: As an Existing Installation (EI) Sales Account Manager at Schindler, cultivate relationships with customers to drive sales for elevator and escalator services, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, identify and pursue sales opportunities, manage existing and new customer accounts, and retain customers. Act as a liaison between the customer and Schindler to build long-term relationships and leverage industry knowledge to achieve sales targets.
Customer Account Management: Build and manage favorable client relationships within a designated sales territory to secure and renew service agreements. Handle customer inquiries, ensure satisfactory resolution, meet regularly with clients to understand business requirements, develop solutions, and oversee accounts receivable for timely payments.
Communication: Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and achievement of sales objectives.
Collaboration: Partner daily with the Field Superintendent and technicians to drive lead generation and ensure an excellent total customer experience from initiation through delivery.
Sales & Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue sales opportunities, qualify customer needs, introduce new technology and services, and illustrate value to customers.
Negotiation & Strategy: Negotiate contract terms favorable to the company while meeting customer requirements. Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with product strategies and market conditions.
Documentation & Compliance: Prepare estimates and proposals, maintain accurate customer records, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
What You Bring
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of B2B sales experience in the elevator or related industry.
Other Special Requirements: Effective presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong communication, negotiation, objection handling, and closing skills with a proven sales track record. Ability to empathize, listen, and build strong customer relationships. Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Motivated, resilient, and customer-focused mindset aligned with Schindler’s values. Experience with SAP and a results-driven mindset. Ability to handle a mix of office and fieldwork with flexibility for travel and customer interactions.

Negotiation & Strategy: Negotiate terms and develop sales strategies aligned with customer needs and Schindler values, addressing objections.
Sales & Closing Skills: Close deals and identify opportunities, introducing new services and technology.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
Leadership: Guide and support junior sales staff; collaborate with Field Superintendents and technicians on quality improvement processes.
