
Thisposition will manage the sales and execution of all aspects of group business at our resort (conferences; retreats; meetings; weddings; family reunions; banquets), includingcustomer relationship development, inquiries/leads, site-visits, proposals, planning,day-to-day on-site coordination and exit/rebook strategies. You will also serveas group customer advocate and liaison to all internal operational departments.
JOBRESPONSIBILITIES
Proactively work from inbound or outbound inquiry/communicationwith customer, build relationships, establish needs, profile groups,reference calendars for dates and update, ensure lodging availability,select and have rates approved, create contracts and get them signed, setand collect deposits, detail and get sign off on Banquet Event Orders,create and get sign off on diagrams, issue rooming lists or createindividual pay registrations (as applicable), collect second deposits.Then reconcile and issue final invoice and collect payment.
Serve as liaison between the customer, customer experiencemanagement team, customer experience fulfillment team, customer experiencefacilities/venues team and other related teams.
Assist with coordination of all customer group plans and related cateringneeds with all required teams. Ensure on-site delivery of resort productsand services according to customer group plans resulting in a positive customerexperience.
Utilize relevant software for timely generation of necessaryprogram documents to include but not limited to create, update and editroom blocks, contracts, select the most appropriate room rates, BanquetEvent Orders, final invoices, post customer group reports and survey andchange logs.
Advise customer on current status of their group’s tasks, includingitems pending and action items. Coordinate any changes necessary.
Maintain program knowledge by attending planning meetings,conference calls, reviewing customer group files and banquet event ordersprior to guest arrival. Partner with customer’s group planning team toensure issues are identified and resolved.
Attend site and planning visits, welcome receptions, pre-con andpost-con meetings, and any internal meetings related to security, parkingor production. Attendance is in person.
Proactively resolve potential meeting space set up or lodging roomissues. Utilize available resources to meet customer requests or resolve customerissues. Ensure that meeting room requirements such as lighting,temperature, AV equipment, and furniture set ups meet customerexpectations.
Maintaincurrent knowledge of local area, attractions and events, to offer as add-onsale experiences.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to walk at least 5 miles per work day, including stairs anduneven and icy ground
Ability to carry loads of 25 pounds between venues and buildings
Ability to change work days and times based on group activity atthe resort

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Minimum one-year hospitality or group sales or eventsexperience preferred.
Excellent guest service and communication in English skillsrequired.
Intermediate to advanced computer and typing skills required.
Experience: Previous guest service and group sales experiencepreferred, but not essential
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality preferred.
Groups Sales Managers earn a base hourly wage and have a commission agreement.
