Social Media Content Creator (On Camera)
We're looking for a Social Media Content Creator to join us two days a week at our Bushwick warehouse. You'll be the on‑camera presence for our social channels — filming behind‑the‑scenes production content, product shots, video ads, tutorials, and more. This is a hands‑on role. We need someone who's comfortable and confident on camera, can shoot and edit their own content, and brings ideas to the table.
What you’ll do
Create engaging short‑form video content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
Film behind‑the‑scenes content, especially of candle making
Appear on camera as a face of the brand, bringing personality and energy to our content
Develop and pitch creative content ideas that align with our brand voice
Stay on top of social trends and help us translate them into content that feels authentic to Element Brooklyn
Collaborate with our small team to brainstorm campaigns, launches, and creative direction
You might be a great fit if you…
Have strong on‑camera presence – you're confident, personable, and natural in front of a lens. This is a core part of the role.
Have experience creating social content (personal or professional)
Know your way around basic video editing
Have a good eye for visual storytelling and aesthetics
Are reliable, self‑directed, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment
Are based in NYC and can reliably get to Bushwick twice a week
Ideal for creatives with flexible schedules This role was designed with students – as well as actors, artists, and other creatives in mind – people who are talented and camera‑ready but aren't looking for a full‑time job right now.
We offer genuinely flexible scheduling (we can coordinate around your other commitments as long as you can agree to the two days per week), a creative, hands‑on work environment and the chance to build a portfolio of professional brand content.
If you are looking for full time work, there is the opportunity for this role to expand over time.
Compensation This role will pay $45 p/h and will participate in our end‑of‑year performance bonus pool.
