Description We are looking for an experienced ADA Compliance Designer to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this long‑term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring digital accessibility and compliance across web platforms. Your work will focus on creating inclusive user experiences while adhering to accessibility standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough audits of websites and digital content to identify accessibility issues and ensure compliance with ADA standards.

Develop and implement procedures to address accessibility concerns and improve user experience.

Utilize tools such as screen readers and accessibility software to evaluate and certify web content.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design accessible web interfaces using platforms like Figma and Adobe XD.

Create and maintain consistent reporting methods to document accessibility improvements.

Ensure adherence to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and other relevant standards.

Provide recommendations for web content adjustments to enhance usability for individuals with disabilities.

Offer expert guidance on digital accessibility best practices, including accommodations for visual, auditory, and motor impairments.

Support adjacent web projects and initiatives to ensure accessibility compliance.

Stay updated on higher education policies and accessibility trends to align designs with institutional goals.

Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of experience in UX/UI design with a focus on accessibility.

Proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and wireframing software.

Strong knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and ADA standards.

Experience with digital accessibility tools, including screen readers and content evaluation software.

Familiarity with creating accessible web content and certifying attachments in web spaces.

Background in higher education is highly desirable.

Ability to develop consistent reporting frameworks for accessibility compliance.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
