Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Specialist to manage and execute end-to-end digital marketing campaigns within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem. This role is responsible for campaign execution, audience validation, content publishing, channel management, quality assurance, and operational governance to ensure 100% accuracy and alignment with targeting requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SFMC modules including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, and Subscriber Management, along with strong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional coordination skills. This role requires close collaboration with Marketing, CRM, Data, Campaign Management, Legal, and Operations teams. Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Operations & Execution: Execute marketing campaigns with 100% accuracy, validating audience requirements, targeting rules, segmentation logic, and personalization elements prior to deployment; configure and deploy campaigns using Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio; utilize Marketing Cloud Viewer permissions to review workflows, segmentation, subscriber profiles, and delivery outcomes; support QA/UAT cycles to validate content, dynamic rules, links, send classifications, and tracking parameters; monitor delivery performance, unsubscribe rates, bounce trends, and subscriber health metrics; provide daily/weekly campaign status reports, issue logs, and operational updates to stakeholders. Channel Management & Execution Oversight: Serve as Channel Manager for Email, SMS, and Push channels; ensure compliance with sender profiles, IP/domain warming best practices, and governance policies; manage send schedules, throttling requirements, execution sequencing, and delivery windows; coordinate business approvals and confirm readiness prior to campaign launch. Content Editing, Publishing & Quality Control: Build, edit, and publish email templates, reusable content blocks, and dynamic content in Content Builder; ensure compliance with brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and regulatory requirements (CAN-SPAM, internal disclosures); maintain content governance including tagging, metadata, naming conventions, and version control. Audience Validation & Data Alignment: Validate final audience counts by reconciling SFMC data with CRM, Data 360, or upstream sources; review segmentation logic, exclusion criteria, subscriber preferences, and consent flags; identify and escalate data discrepancies impacting campaign accuracy. Governance, Documentation & Reporting: Maintain campaign documentation including requirements, workflow diagrams, UAT results, and approvals in systems such as Aprimo, Confluence, and SharePoint; ensure compliance with privacy, InfoSec, and opt-in/opt-out regulations; support analytics and reporting requests using SFMC dashboards and tracking tools. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing Managers, Content Teams, CRM, Legal, and Release Management to ensure alignment on timelines and execution; assist with onboarding and training users on SFMC Viewer, Content Editor, and Channel Management capabilities. Required Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud: Email Studio Journey Builder Automation Studio Content Builder Subscriber Management Audience segmentation and subscriber lifecycle management Advanced SQL for complex audience validation queries Campaign tracking, reporting, and performance analysis Experience with documentation tools: Jira, Confluence, SharePoint Familiarity with Marketing Resource Management tools (e.g., Adobe Workfront) Preferred Qualifications
Experience with email QA/rendering tools (e.g., Litmus or Email Preview tools) Knowledge of data privacy regulations including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA Experience with structured content editing and publishing workflows Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and governance standards Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud campaign execution experience Experience working in regulated or financial services environments preferred Flexible work from home options available
