They’re tougher than any task and they’re not afraid to get a little dirty. As part of the Construction Battalion, better known as the Seabees, you’ll be part of a team that crafts the Navy’s infrastructure from the ground up and paves the way—literally—to victory. U.S. citizen or equivalent. High school graduate or equivalent. 17 years of age or older. General qualifications may vary depending upon whether you’re currently serving, whether you’ve served before or whether you’ve never served before. Work Environment
As a part of the Construction Battalion, you may work at Navy bases or ports of call around the globe, and you may be deployed to help develop or rebuild areas affected by natural disasters or support combat operations. Seabees primarily serve at shore-based commands—you will likely not spend time at sea. Part-time Opportunities
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Builders in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes. Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident to apply. Seniority level
