Responsibilities As a
Marketing Account Executive
on the
Commercial Lines
team, you will lead and coordinate marketing activities for new and renewal business and support Producers in sales activities. You will serve as a consultative point of contact for clients, identifying and understanding client needs, providing recommendations with supporting rationale, demonstrating strong negotiation skills, responding to Requests for Proposals, participating in prospect meetings, directing and leading mid‑year reviews, working closely with national leadership to drive line of business strategy and initiatives, and leading, mentoring, and training other account service team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or related experience
Six years of relevant insurance industry experience (3‑5 years preferred)
Property and casualty insurance license – current or obtained within first 90 days
Considerable knowledge of markets, policies, and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced
Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload and oversee application of workflows and procedures
Leadership skills and service/team orientation to provide direction, praise, constructive feedback, and development to employees in a way that maximizes productivity and team morale
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market contacts, and McGriff teammates
Discretion and problem‑solving skills to analyze client information, proposal competitiveness, etc., and to resolve client, market, and employee relations problems
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel overnight
Additional qualifications (not required):
Advanced degree(s)
Strong knowledge in shared and layered property programs
Insurance industry certifications in addition to necessary license
Significant prior experience leading teams and/or projects

Compensation Salary range: $75,000 to $120,000 based on skills and experience. The applicable base salary range for this role is $119,400 to $222,300. Base pay will be determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to base salary, the position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
