Why This Role Matters: We’re seeking a high-energy, people-driven Catering Sales Manager who thrives at the intersection of events, hospitality, and community connection. This role is ideal for someone who loves being part of the scene, building relationships, coordinating unforgettable experiences, and turning community awareness into packed rooms and booked venues. The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for proactively selling the hotel’s event venue and catering services to meeting planners, corporate clients, social groups, and outside organizations. This role focuses on generating new business, cultivating client relationships, and converting inquiries into confirmed events. The ideal candidate is a confident, results-driven salesperson who thrives in a client-facing environment and is comfortable working evenings and weekends as business demands.
What You’ll Do
Actively prospect, solicit, and secure new catering and event business from meeting planners, corporate clients, associations, and external organizations
Sell the event venue as a destination for meetings, conferences, trainings, social events, and programmed events hosted in partnership with outside organizations
Market Casa Esencia, Casa España, and Smoky Note as film production locations, building industry relationships and securing filming opportunities to drive venue revenue
Respond promptly to inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales to meet or exceed revenue goals
Conduct site tours and presentations that effectively showcase event spaces, catering offerings, and service capabilities
Represent the venue at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions as needed
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through event execution
Collaborate with culinary, operations, and banquet teams to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded
Manage event details including menus, space layouts, timelines, and special requirements
Attend and oversee events as required, including evenings and weekends, to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction
Maintain accurate records in the sales and event management system
Forecast catering revenue and track sales performance against goals
Ensure contracts, deposits, and billing are completed accurately and on time
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Proven sales experience in catering, events, hospitality, or venue sales preferred
Strong closing skills with the ability to upsell services and maximize revenue
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by events
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively
