Account Managers
to join our growing sales team on the
East Coast . Account Managers earn a competitive base salary, exceptional commissions and benefits plans, along with top training and support, and recognition for high performers. Role and Responsibilities Account Managers
are responsible for business development, new account acquisition, achieving sales targets, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction within an assigned territory. Activities include anticipating customer needs by gauging requirements, responding to requests, preparing proposals, and developing solutions from available offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Execute sales strategy by identifying customer needs and selling the appropriate hardware and company services.
Develop business through multiple marketing and sales techniques including cold calling, in-person meetings, and partnering with vendors or manufacturers.
Maintain a targeted understanding of customers' business, establish customer needs, buying cycles, and build relationships to drive sales and repeat business.
Meet or exceed annual sales top-line revenue and margin goals as defined by management.
Drive profitable revenue growth for target accounts in partnership with the inside sales team.
Adhere to the sales process including pipeline development and accurate forecasting via internal tools.
Prepare proposals and sales information for customers.
Account Management
Manage individual sales objectives including sales orders and billing activities to support quarterly goals.
Maintain ongoing customer account relationships, update account information in systems, and resolve satisfaction issues.
Work with inside sales to provide quotes and ensure order requests are processed accurately, coordinating with the engineering team to scope projects.
Manage past-due invoice resolution with accounting to ensure proper collections.
Develop and maintain solid business relationships with decision-makers and influencers at target accounts.
Understand each target customer's business model, map their organization, and identify technology needs.
Strategic Planning & Presentation
Perform deep analysis of account base to determine key opportunities.
Develop and execute marketing and business plans to drive revenue and profits.
Collaborate with sales leadership to provide feedback, develop vendor relationships, advance new initiatives, and mentor new employees.
Attend monthly/quarterly account planning sessions with strategic manufacturing partners’ AMs.
Present a Quarterly Business Outlook (QBO) focusing on past performance, pipeline, wins, and improvement goals.
Provide a customer technology roadmap and work with inside Account Managers to uncover new opportunities.
Develop partnerships with Vendor Field Sales Representatives to optimize joint selling opportunities.
Use monthly forecasting and pipeline management to manage sales growth.
Demonstrate the ability to overcome obstacles, achieve sales goals, and communicate ideas clearly in various settings.
Proven track record in developing relationships with customers and vendors, translating client needs into solutions.
Preferred candidates have prior experience selling advanced technology solutions from Cisco, EMC, Nimble, Aruba, Palo Alto, IBM, HP, Citrix, Microsoft, and others.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
2 or more years of outside information technology sales experience (customer facing) in infrastructure, storage, network security, professional services or managed services preferred, with cloud experience strongly preferred.
