
Overview
A global provider of advanced livestock genetics and solutions is expanding its national key account program and is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to lead relationships with large, progressive dairy operations across the United States. This role partners closely with senior commercial leadership and cross‑functional teams to deliver high-value solutions, deepen enterprise relationships, and expand strategic business opportunities.
This is a high-impact, relationship-driven role combining new business development, major account management, and long-range growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Own and grow relationships with large, progressive dairy operations and enterprise accounts nationwide
Manage a defined portfolio of strategic customers with revenue and growth accountability
Identify and pursue new qualified enterprise prospects
Develop and execute account growth strategies in partnership with regional field teams
Deliver value‑based solutions that combine products, services, and technical support
Collaborate with internal sales and marketing partners to align resources to key accounts
Provide education and training to partners and customers on products, programs, and industry trends
Participate in industry meetings, peer groups, and major conferences
Contribute to demand planning and forecasting with commercial leadership
Share market intelligence and customer insights to guide strategy
Qualifications
5+ years of account management or enterprise sales experience
Experience working with large agricultural or dairy operations strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Animal Science, Dairy Science, Agriculture, or related field)
Working knowledge of dairy production and reproduction programs is highly valued
Familiarity with dairy management software platforms (such as DC305 or similar) is a plus
Strong relationship management and consultative selling skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Highly organized with strong follow‑through
Team‑oriented mindset with cross‑functional collaboration skills
Willingness to travel extensively within the United States
Interest in continuous professional growth and development
