Who We’re Looking For PIRTEK is hiring for a Hydraulic Hose Service & Sales Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in varying environmental conditions. This is a messy job that requires manual labor and on‑call hours (on‑call and incentive pay based on monthly sales targets), so dedication and grit are essential.

Hydraulic and industrial hose experience is NOT required! Each Hydraulic Hose Service & Sales Technician is provided complete training on industry knowledge, PIRTEK processes, safety standards, and how to operate your purpose‑built mobile service unit. PIRTEK also provides support through a 24/7 hotline for Technicians to ask technical questions.

Job Description

Adhere to all industry and PIRTEK safety standards

Carry out service calls & sales visits in your local area, expected make sales calls when not servicing equipment

Identify faulty hoses and/ or hose assemblies to service the customers’ needs

Remove worn or broken hoses before fabricating and installing the new replacement

Ensure oil spills/ environmental contaminants, due to hose failure and/ or repair, are cleaned or contained to the customer’s satisfaction (as well as federal, state, and local regulations)

Input service details into the online database to create accurate invoices

Develop relationships with new and existing customers

Maintain mobile service unit, tools, and equipment

Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on‑site and conducting frequent follow‑up visits

Participate in the rotating On‑Call schedule

Perform other related duties as assigned

Work Environment You will be operating out of a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center in a purpose‑built mobile service unit – a workshop‑van that is outfitted with all the machinery needed to cut and crimp hydraulic hose and fittings. Tech will supply their own hand tools or owner will stipend the new employees to purchase their hand tools in support of their onboarding.

Territory‑based service areas as assigned my Operations Manager

Service locations may differ in terrain, noise level, temperature, common amenities available, etc.

Oil, grease, lubricant, and other “messy” substances are frequently used

You will be required to travel for training to FL (5 days of training and testing), there may be other initiatives for training as well, at no cost to you

On call duty to support 24/7 service, rotating schedule with other techs

Required weekly sales calls targets (new and current customers), adjusted based on work load each week

Skills & Abilities Needed

Sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop from moderate to extended periods

Safely use ladders, step‑ups, stairs, etc.

Mechanically inclined – consistent use of hand tools & specialized equipment is required

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to navigate through customer objections to identify needs and execute sales

Self‑motivated & positive attitude through difficult jobs

Able to work individually and as a team

Lift up to 50 pounds

Can safely & lawfully drive a large work van

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED

Driver’s License with clean driving record

Experience in industrial development & construction, automobile/ marine/ field mechanics, or a related industry is a plus

Ability to pass a background check

Benefits

Starting Hourly Rate: $26.00

Post onboarding 4‑8 weeks (based on the pace of learning): $27.00

Post HQ training and passing certification with +85% score: $29.00

Overtime paid after 40 hours weekly, time and half hourly rate

Commission incentive starts with escalating payout post $21k in monthly sales
