Aurora Behavioral Charter Oak is looking for an experienced Director of Human Resources (HRD) to join our team.

Your Impact As our HRD, you are seen as a strategic partner to the CEO and work as a team to align HR strategies with the organization’s overall business objectives. Key Responsibilities The HR Director oversee all aspects of the human resources department functions including direct staff supervision, recruiting, performance management, employee relations, compensation, employee health, HRIS, training and development.
Responsibilities include but not limit to the following:
Interpreting and updating policies to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Providing guidance to management regarding personnel policies and procedures to optimize human resource utilization.
Planning and administering compensation and benefits programs effectively.
Designing employee relations initiatives to promote fair and consistent application of human resource policies.
Assessing training and development needs in line with compliance requirements.
Overseeing the implementation of educational programs including orientations and workshops.
Establishing recruitment and retention policies to optimize staff placements.
Maintaining accurate employment records, including promotions and terminations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of five years of relevant experience
Healthcare or hospital setting preferred
Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC), Title VII, Federal and State employment laws and regulations
Proven experience in employee relations, compensation management, and compliance
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Proactive approach to problem-solving
Demonstrated ability to proactively resolve issues and maintain confidentiality.
