Role Overview Qwoted is hiring a Marketing Web Designer (WordPress) to support growth and experimentation across our marketing web presence. This role is primarily focused on web design and digital creative, with a secondary focus on WordPress implementation and lightweight development. You will translate campaign goals into clear, on‑brand layouts and creative, then build and ship those experiences in WordPress (WP Engine). You will work closely with marketers and copywriters to move quickly, iterate through testing, and improve conversion and clarity across key pages. This is a builder role. You will take ideas from concept to design to live WordPress pages.
What you will do Design And Creative Ownership (primary)
Own web‑first design for marketing pages, landing pages, and microsites with strong visual hierarchy, typography, and responsive layout
Translate campaign objectives into page designs that communicate value quickly and drive conversion
Create on‑brand digital creative for web and key channels (email graphics, social, paid ads) and adapt approved creative across sizes and formats
Build and maintain reusable design systems for speed and consistency, including templates, components, and asset organization
Audit existing pages and propose design improvements that increase clarity, trust, and conversion
WordPress implementation and website execution (secondary)
Build and launch landing pages and reusable page sections in WordPress using Elementor and WordPress best practices, matching designs closely
Maintain the visual and content integrity of the marketing site, ensuring consistent styling and a high‑quality experience across devices
Handle day‑to‑day site updates, QA, and troubleshooting, including cross‑browser testing and issue resolution
Maintain basic site hygiene: image optimization, performance fundamentals, and on‑page SEO basics
Lightweight development and tools (as needed)
Implement small interactive tools, widgets, or read‑only pages that follow API documentation closely
Integrate JSON REST APIs into WordPress using PHP and or client‑side JavaScript
Create or maintain lightweight WordPress functionality or small plugins to support marketing initiatives
Partner with Qwoted Engineering to resolve API questions and edge cases
Collaboration and iteration
Work in short cycles, share progress frequently, and ship updates consistently
Present work, receive feedback, and iterate quickly
Document lightweight processes for repeatable builds and faster launches
Requirements (must Have)
A design portfolio that demonstrates strong web design and digital creative work (landing pages, website design, campaign creative, ads, social, or similar)
Strong web design fundamentals: layout, typography, spacing, responsive design, and conversion‑focused hierarchy
WordPress experience, including:
Building pages and layouts in WordPress, including Elementor or comparable page builders
Comfort working within WordPress themes, templates, and content structures
Ability to troubleshoot plugin conflicts, performance issues, and layout inconsistencies
Familiarity with WP Engine workflows and foundational knowledge of domains and DNS
Strong QA instincts and ability to test and debug issues independently
Ability to manage shifting priorities, maintain a backlog, and communicate status clearly
Familiarity with accessibility best practices for web
Nice to Have
Working front‑end implementation skills:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+)
PHP familiarity for WordPress customization and lightweight plugin work
Familiarity with Bootstrap
Experience improving conversion on landing pages (A/B testing, heatmaps, analytics basics)
Understanding of WordPress performance optimization and on‑page SEO
Experience creating lightweight design systems or component libraries
Experience working with JSON REST APIs and reading API documentation
React familiarity is a plus (not required)
