Are you a good fit to become our Purchasing Agent? Qualifications

This role involves tracking lead times, demand forecasting, managing purchase orders, and cross-functional collaboration. You\u2019ll need the ability to anticipate and proactively meet needs. Here are the minimum qualifications:

2-year degree OR 2+ years of purchasing/buying experience in a manufacturing or fulfillment setting

Demonstrated quantitative experience performing unit conversions, cost calculations, etc.

Finance knowledge with the ability to analyze and understand financial data

Ability to identify and prevent stockouts to minimize customer disruptions

Ability to balance competing priorities, meet deadlines, set daily goals, and stay motivated throughout the day

Ability to develop connections both internal and externally to build trust and rapport, that supports beneficial business relationships.

Ability to type 35+ wpm

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel pivot tables, formulas, and VLOOKUP)

Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills

Epicor (ERP) system experience is preferred

Our Team Needs You Our Purchasing Agent Keeps Our Inventory Well-stocked And Ensures We\u2019re Always Ready To Meet Customers\u2019 Needs And Production Demands. You\u2019ll work cross-functionally with different teams and departments to monitor product levels, identify supply needs, and purchase the necessary materials. You can expect to:

Handle daily purchasing activities and order items based on inventory levels and production needs

Track deliveries, manage inventory, and review the order cycle

Document transactions, purchase orders, and supplier information in our ERP

Analyze purchasing data and production trends, and use this information to identify cost-saving opportunities

Ensure all financial reporting and purchasing activities meet company policies, relevant laws, and industry regulations

Verify pricing and lead times, and recommend changes to optimize profitability

Coordinate product returns and transfers

Book LTL freight requests

Find ways to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of our operations
