Overview The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for managing and strategically growing SGWS’s business through influential leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
Support accounts in trade channels including Off‑Premise, regional, and national customers.
Accountable for achieving revenue, margin, and gross profit targets as set by the Sales Director.
Communicate local program spending effectiveness to maximize the company’s profits and determine ROI on outlined focused initiatives.
Accurately analyze and project quarterly and monthly business for the assigned territory.
Provide the shared team with conflict resolution, removal of performance obstacles, and address relationship concerns among key accounts in the region.
Identify market trends and developments in product categories, geographic regions, and among the entire account base to stay ahead of competition.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or 3–5 years of industry‑related sales experience.
Dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
Ability to manage and stay within a budget assigned on behalf of the company.
Strategic, analytical thought process.
Strong financial acumen.
Ability to analyze data to anticipate potential issues and proactively model solutions.
Strong communication, organization, and commercial planning capabilities.
Proficiency using Compass, Diver, Excel, and Proof.
Ability to understand supplier strategies and align with internal and external teams.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Demands
Physical demands including sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer or adding machine for a considerable amount of time.
Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
Occasional lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45 lbs.
