The Opportunity We are seeking a Product Specialist Associate to support Crestline’s direct lending strategy within the Client Partnership Group. This role is well‑suited for a candidate with 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, or an investment team experience who is comfortable initiating and managing deliverables end‑to‑end.
The Associate will work closely with senior product specialists, investment professionals, and the sales team to analyse and articulate portfolio performance and prepare high‑quality, investor‑facing materials. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and the ability to independently execute deliverables in a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Do Support Investor Engagement
Prepare clear, articulate and detailed responses to investor inquiries related to fund performance, asset performance, portfolio composition, credit metrics, and investment activity
Synthesize complex investment information into concise, professional materials for current and prospective investors
Assist in the preparation of quarterly portfolio reports and presentations, partnering with deals teams and operations to ensure accuracy and consistency
Develop and refine PowerPoint materials used in investor meetings, marketing efforts, and ongoing client communications
Analyze Portfolio & Market Data
Track and analyse key portfolio metrics, including yield, leverage, defaults, and recoveries
Monitor developments in the direct lending market, including competitive dynamics, borrower demand, and macroeconomic trends impacting middle‑market credit
Ensure data integrity across reports, presentations, and ad‑hoc analyses
Execute Independently
Manage assigned projects exercising sound judgement and prioritisation
Proactively identify information gaps, coordinate with internal teams, and drive deliverables to completion
Support ad‑hoc initiatives as needed, adapting quickly to shifting priorities
Who You Are Experience
3–5 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, direct lending, leveraged finance, or a related investment role
Experience analysing credit, financial statements, or investment performance; exposure to direct lending is a plus
Knowledge
Working understanding of direct lending and private credit structures, including senior‑secured loans
Familiarity with credit underwriting concepts and risk assessment for middle‑market companies
Skills
Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to produce polished, investor‑ready materials
Strong Excel skills for data presentation
Incredibly high attention to detail with the parse through technical information clearly
Mindset
Self‑directed and accountable, with the ability to execute without step‑by‑step instructions
