We are hiring an Associate Attorney on a litigation track. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney who wants hands‑on mentorship, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to develop into a confident litigation and trial lawyer. Candidates with strong research and writing skills will stand out.
The Opportunity This role offers a unique chance to manage your own caseload while working closely with senior attorneys on active litigation matters. You will receive direct guidance from experienced trial lawyers who are invested in mentoring and developing your long‑term litigation skills.
What You’ll Do
Manage a portfolio of personal injury cases from intake through resolution and litigation.
Work directly with senior attorneys on litigation strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
Conduct legal research and draft persuasive memoranda, motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
Evaluate liability, damages, and insurance coverage with guidance from senior attorneys.
Assist with discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation as experience develops.
Draft demand packages and support negotiations and settlement discussions.
Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, and internal team members to ensure excellent client service.
Contribute to improving firm systems, processes, and case management practices.
What We’re Looking For
A driven, detail-oriented attorney eager to learn and grow in litigation.
Active Massachusetts law license in good standing (Rhode Island license is a plus).
Strong research and writing skills with clear, persuasive communication.
Strong organization and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple files.
Prior personal injury, litigation, or clerkship experience is a plus, but not required.
Workers’ compensation knowledge is a plus.
A positive, motivated team player who values mentorship, feedback, and professional development.
