Cloud DBAs
to support and manage modern cloud-based database platforms including
PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Redis, and MongoDB . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in administration, performance tuning, high availability, monitoring, security, and troubleshooting across multiple cloud database technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and optimize cloud-hosted databases:
PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Redis, MongoDB .
Perform routine database operations such as backups, restores, replication configuration, and monitoring.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of database systems in production environments.
Diagnose and resolve database performance bottlenecks, including query tuning and resource optimization.
Implement database security best practices, auditing, and compliance controls.
Work closely with application teams to support development, deployments, and data-related troubleshooting.
Perform capacity planning and recommend improvements to ensure optimal database performance.
Participate in on-call rotations for production support.
Support migration projects, upgrades, patching, and adoption of new cloud-native database features.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA in cloud environments).
Strong hands-on experience with
PostgreSQL
administration and performance tuning.
Proficiency in managing
Azure Cosmos DB
including partitions, consistency models, and global distribution.
Experience with
Redis
as a distributed cache and key-value store, including clustering and persistence models.
Practical knowledge of
MongoDB
including sharding, replica sets, and query optimization.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), preferably
Azure .
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
