Position Description Implements and maintains electrical power circuits and equipment, control and automation systems, electronic and pneumatic equipment used in pipeline, compressor stations, plant operations, and measurement facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Installs, inspects, maintains, operates, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and adjusts various pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, electronic, and programmable logic controller (PLC) control systems.

Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drivers and auxiliary equipment.

Perform Inspection and Maintenance (I & M) checks on all control systems.

Maintain electrical switchgear and power distribution.

Lead efforts to develop and implement changes as a result of analytical testing.

Assist Corrosion and Engineering personnel with the evaluation, development, implementation, and maintenance of facility grounding systems.

Required to take assessment testing for meeting level progression.

Install, analyze and repair security/intrusion systems.

Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.

Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.

Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.

Complete appropriate documentation and record keeping.

Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory and company tariff requirements.

Mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself.

Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of employees, general public and company assets.

Respond to call-outs and work overtime as necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements Minimum Requirements Education: High School Diploma with 1‑3 years of equivalent skills (instrumentation, automation, electrical controls) and experience.

Experience / Specific Knowledge

Working knowledge of National Electric Codes.

Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams.

Knowledge of electronic test instruments and equipment.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license that meets company insurability requirements.

May be required to possess a commercial driver’s license, drive a company commercial vehicle and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations.

Will be required to achieve and maintain operator qualifications and may be required to obtain certifications as required to perform specific job duties.

Must have a strong focus on job to complete all assigned work tasks in a safe and accident‑free manner.

Basic computer skills (MS Office, install software, adding drivers, etc.).

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong customer focus.

Must have ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules.

Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, document and complete work with minimum supervision.

Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.

Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.

Physical Demands

Position requires standing, walking and sitting while working either indoors or outdoors.

Must be able to consistently lift a minimum of 20 lbs., at a time in awkward positions.

May have to lift (from floor to waist) and carry up to 50 lbs.

While performing the job you will be required to lift and carry, pull or push, reach, squat, kneel and/or climb ladders or stairs.

Physical dexterity, hand/grip strength, depth perception, and any other physical attributes that enable the employee to perform the job safely.

Ability to use hand tools and equipment, repetitive hand use requiring grasp and twisting motions.

Must be able to frequently enter confined spaces, climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, and walkways, etc.

May periodically work in low‑lit areas.

Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Working Conditions

Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions.

Depending upon the location and workload, travel will be required.

Must wear PPE appropriate for job duty or task.

Must be able to work after hours, on‑call nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Must live within a reasonable response time (40 miles) to reporting location Gas Ops Cortez Pipeline Office - Cortez, CO as determined by local management.

May be required to carry a company‑provided communication device to respond both during working and non‑working hours.

Supervisory Responsibility None.

Pay range: $40.00 - $56.00 per hour. This position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan. Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill set.
