Starter/ Course Advisor - Preserve Golf Course

Responsibilities
Greets golfers at first/tenth tee and practice facility, facilitating the start of play.
Enforces the rules of play on the golf course (e.g., cart path rule).
Ensures that pace of play standards are maintained.
Assists players on course with weather‑appropriate services.
Keeps non‑playing traffic off of the course (children, dogs, etc.).
May direct golfers regarding special circumstances that golf maintenance recommends for play.
Assists groups with raking of bunkers, spotting of golf balls, and other related services.
Assists with setting up the practice facility prior to the start of play.
Maintains amenity and sanitation standards for on‑course water coolers.
Marks courses, which involves walking lengthy areas with various slopes.
Periodically assists staff with maintenance of golf carts, including tire changes.
Keeps accurate records of play.
Maintains the putting and chipping green areas.
Assists players cleaning clubs while at the practice facility.
Assists in maintaining the practice facility by setting up, stacking balls, and picking.
Qualifications
Familiar with rules of golf.
Golfing experience desired.
Outgoing, friendly, and diplomatic personality.
Must be able to work in varying weather conditions, from extreme heat to cold.
Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time (minimum 2 hours at a time).
Customer service experience desired.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Must have conflict resolution experience.
