Position Summary Breakthrough is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Marketing Strategist to join our team. In this role, you will lead complex marketing initiatives that drive business growth, enhance Breakthrough’s market presence, and address organizational objectives. As a key strategist on the marketing team, you will independently develop and execute data‑driven strategies and collaborate across functions to deliver impactful results.

This Senior Marketing Strategist will serve as the lead on strategy, planning, and execution of all event‑related initiatives, including industry conference sponsorships, our annual conference (The Mercury Group), and regional roundtables. In this role, you will independently develop and execute end‑to‑end event strategies that drive business growth, enhance Breakthrough’s market presence and deliver exceptional attendee experiences. This role requires up to 20% travel and a deep understanding of Breakthrough’s products to effectively represent the company at trade shows and events.

This position is located onsite in Green Bay, WI.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies, including sponsorships, hosted events, and trade show participation, to elevate Breakthrough’s market presence generate leads.

Own and deliver impactful, multi‑channel marketing projects that drive measurable results and elevate Breakthrough’s brand.

Collaborate across teams and disciplines to ensure alignment and integration of marketing strategies with organizational goals.

Analyze marketing performance metrics, synthesize insights, and make data‑driven recommendations to optimize strategies and improve outcomes.

Ensure brand consistency across all marketing initiatives while adapting messaging for diverse audiences and platforms.

Lead the development and implementation of storytelling frameworks and narratives for speaking sessions at both sponsored and hosted events that position Breakthrough as an industry leader.

Represent Breakthrough and its products at industry events, becoming a subject matter expert and trusted ambassador for the brand.

Create compelling event‑related content, including email campaigns, session titles and descriptions, and presentation slide decks, to engage and inform target audiences.

Proactively identify opportunities to refine processes, advocate for enhancements, and implement meaningful changes to improve team effectiveness.

Manage all aspects of event planning and execution, including logistics, vendor coordination, budgeting, and on‑site management, ensuring seamless delivery, exceptional attendee experiences, and effective lead generation.

Present strategic recommendations and event results to senior leadership, distilling insights into actionable narratives.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

4‑7 years of experience in marketing, event management, or a related role, with a proven track record of leading impactful event initiatives.

Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to address complex and ambiguous challenges.

Expertise in event planning and execution, including logistics, content creation, and attendee engagement strategies.

Exceptional communication, writing, and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to diverse audiences.

Proficiency in leveraging data and insights to inform strategy and measure success.

A growth mindset, adaptability, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred:

Experience with event management software and tools.

Familiarity with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot).
