UCSF Health seeks a visionary healthcare executive to serve as Enterprise Leader for Perioperative Transformation, a strategic leadership role responsible for guiding system-wide transformation across surgical operations, education, and workforce development. This position partners directly with senior perioperative leadership to shape long-range planning, optimize organizational structures, and drive innovation in perioperative care delivery across UCSF campuses. The Enterprise Leader will lead initiatives that elevate surgical outcomes, standardize education, and foster collaboration across clinical teams, academic departments, and external partners, advancing UCSF's mission of excellence in academic medicine and patient-centered care.

Compensation The salary range for this position is $300,000 - $350,000 (Annual Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Department Description Perioperative Services at the University of California, San Francisco is one of the leading surgical departments in the world, with a rich history of scientific, educational, and clinical advancements. Although our care is primarily dedicated to the people of the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout the state of California, our reputation draws patients nationally and internationally. We are one of the largest clinical services at UCSF, performing a high volume of procedures, many among the most complex and technically challenging, and for rare conditions seldom seen in community practices. This allows our surgeons to continually improve their skills, resulting in better outcomes for patients.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in nursing leadership with a focus on Perioperative Services
Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives and large-scale transformation projects within an academic medical center setting
A background in engaging and supporting a variety of stakeholders, including academic partners, physicians, and key organizational leaders
Leadership skills in interpersonal relations, group dynamics, problem-solving, critical thinking, negotiating, interviewing, observation, counseling, teaching, decision-making and implementation/evaluation skills
Performance and outcome-oriented with the ability to set both the strategic and operational direction of the department(s) in an innovative and creative manner
Sophisticated leadership abilities to establish department goals, and motivate and influence others to achieve
Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques; human resources and risk management planning; accounting and payroll
Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Hospital Administration
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) (California RN License required upon hire)
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree: DNP or PhD
License/Certification RN License required.
