Position Title: Senior Product Designer (AI/ML) Location: Fully onsite in McLean, VA Duration: 9 months assignment with possible extension

Must Have Qualifications: General knowledge of LLM/AI. Prototyping tools – rapid prototyping tools – Figma required, and Justinmind nice to have. Product design and design system knowledge. Required soft skills: strong organizational skills, confidence, strong attention to detail, and strong collaboration. Nice to have: Financial industry experience. Please note: Role is not developer focused, developers will be too technical for position.

Position Overview: We are seeking a contract Product Design to join our team of Designers in developing intuitive web applications and enterprise tools. This role requires a pragmatic designer with a user‑centered, data‑informed approach, and the ability to drive effective design solutions with guidance. You will partner with product and engineering to shape end‑to‑end experiences across model visualization and editor workflows, ensuring designs are scalable for enterprise users, consistent with a component system, and accessible. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of design methodologies, enterprise software, and sophisticated user experiences. We are currently hiring for one role that sits in our McLean, VA office headquarters.

We collaborate with teams including Product, Development, Client Education, Marketing, and Seller Engagement to create design concepts, prototypes, demos, training materials, and user interfaces that enhance client efficiency.

Responsibilities: Strategy and Planning

Be responsible for the end‑to‑end design process, ensuring timely, detailed, and polished results.

Define use cases and Product Design requirements; create interaction flows, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and design specifications.

Provide interactive prototype experiences that efficiently communicate ideas, workflows, and component functionality to partners.

Collaborate with developers to ensure that design and implementation align with business objectives and UX solutions, while also identifying future improvement opportunities.

Incorporate accessibility considerations (keyboard navigation, focus states, contrast, semantic structure, readable density) into design specs and review cycles.

Delivery & Execution

Provide design guidance for applications, considering dependencies and integration across the enterprise.

Seek peer reviews to establish and uphold design standards.

Demo designs and concepts to multi‑functional partners throughout the organization.

Collaborate with engineering on feasibility and implementation details; provide UX QA during build to ensure fidelity and interaction quality.

Facilitate lightweight research: usability reviews with early adopters, rapid iteration based on feedback, and clear documentation of decisions.

Team Collaboration

Contribute to continual refinement of the Design System.

Foster collaboration to drive value, identify, and resolve impediments.

Lead multiple projects under guided supervision.

Advocate for UX Product Design practices by empathizing with and understanding user needs.

Qualifications:

2-4+ years of Product Design experience, preferably in a fintech environment.

Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Figma, Justinmind, or other interactive/rapid prototyping tools.

Knowledge of Angular, HTML, CSS, Agile Methodologies in Jira, and product design processes.

Familiarity with LLM/Generative AI tools.

Experience collaborating with developers and product partners; able to communicate tradeoffs.

Demonstrated ability to design with accessibility in mind.

Strong understanding of Angular components/component‑based UI design and how to apply component rules to complex app experiences.

Understanding of fundamental design principles and experience with rapid prototyping.

Collaborative skills for cross‑team work with various teams and fields.

Ability to communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively to customers.

Experience in structuring and implementing design initiatives at scale.

Skills in creating, evaluating, and modifying prototypes for software application development.

Proficient in developing and applying software design/usability processes.

Capable of providing usability evaluation and support to product development teams.

Ability to articulate user needs and design solutions.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
