Position Summary The UNC School of Medicine IT Web Services team is seeking a Web Developer/Designer with WordPress experience. This role designs, builds, and maintains School of Medicine websites in a large WordPress multisite environment. The position combines front‑end development and visual design to ensure websites are modern, accessible, secure, and consistent with institutional branding. The Web Developer/Designer works closely with IT staff and departmental website administrators to deliver reliable, high‑quality web solutions that support the School of Medicine’s mission.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

Graduation from high school and one year in a technology field related to the position.

Computer coursework may be substituted year for year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Journey level requires an additional six months of experience.

Advanced level requires an additional one year of experience.

Management Preferences

Experience using software-based phone systems.

Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills.

IT support experience in mixed environments, including Mac and Windows.

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities Not Applicable.
