Position Summary

The Regional Director for Business Operations (Texas) is responsible for leading day-to-day business operations, driving profitable growth, and executing strategic initiatives across Building Solutions, including Division 8 (D8), Division 10 (D10), and Division 28 (D28). This role partners closely with executive leadership to translate strategy into measurable results through operational execution, financial discipline, and strong team leadership. The Regional Director serves as the operational leader for the Texas region, ensuring project delivery excellence, margin performance, and scalable growth. Key Responsibilities

Business Execution & Strategy Support

Execute divisional strategies and annual business plans established by senior leadership Identify operational and market opportunities to improve performance and regional growth Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to the President Financial & Performance Management

Manage assigned P&L components including revenue, gross margin, labor, and operating expenses Support budgeting, forecasting, backlog reporting, and variance analysis Drive cost control, productivity improvements, and margin enhancement initiatives Partner with sales and estimating teams to support major Division 8 pursuits Assist with bid strategy, pricing reviews, value engineering, and risk assessment Maintain strong customer relationships with general contractors and strategic partners Support contract reviews and scope alignment prior to project award Operations & Project Delivery

Oversee estimating handoff, project management, procurement, fabrication, and installation activities Ensure Division 8 projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget Monitor project performance, address escalated issues, and implement corrective actions Promote standardized processes and best practices across projects and teams Lead and develop managers, project managers, estimators, and support staff Set performance expectations and conduct reviews aligned with divisional goals Support hiring, onboarding, and talent development initiatives Quality, Safety & Compliance

Enforce safety standards, quality controls, and contract compliance Ensure adherence to building codes, specifications, and Division 8 installation standards Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and risk management Ensure compliance with OSHA and all federal and state regulatory requirements Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinate with finance, HR, supply chain, engineering, and IT teams Communicate operational performance, risks, and growth opportunities to executive leadership Qualifications

Required Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 8–12 years of experience in commercial construction with Division 8 scope exposure Demonstrated experience leading project teams or multi-project operations Strong understanding of doors, frames, hardware, glazing, and specialty openings Solid financial and operational management capability Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience with regional or multi-branch Division 8, Division 10, and Division 28 operations Familiarity with Comsense, shop drawings, and submittal workflows MBA or advanced leadership training Operational leadership Customer and partner focus Risk awareness and issue resolution Travel
