COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE
Training & Ramp Period: $24/hour (Weeks 1-4)
Full-Time Salary: $52,500/year (unlocked at 4 accounts)
Location: 70% remote, 30% on-site in DC/MD/VA

COMPANY Urban Chic Media is a boutique, woman-owned creative agency helping design-forward brands shine online through thoughtful content and strong brand presence.
THE VIBE We're looking for a creative, outgoing social media girlie who's obsessed with beautiful things—flowers, hair, lifestyle, and all the magic that happens behind the scenes. Someone who cares just as much about capturing the perfect angle as they do about learning a client's story (and remembering their dog's name). Someone who's not afraid to grab a teammate and say, "okay wait, we have to film this TikTok real quick."
This role calls for confidence, strong visual instincts, full account ownership. You'll be working directly with our clients, helping bring their vision to life online and building real relationships while you're at it.
ABOUT THE ROLE At full capacity, you'll manage 4 client Instagram accounts. We want someone who gets excited to:
Jump on weekly calls with clients, brainstorm creative content, and pitch ideas confidently
Be on-site 2-3x/month for content sessions, filming reels and posting live story content
Help brands grow and glow online, highlighting their voice, inventory, and stories with intention
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategizing quality content briefs that are trendy and align with clients goals
Writing thoughtful, strategic captions aligned with each client's voice.
Managing daily inbound and outbound engagement: comments, reposts, tagged content
Pull and organize inspiration that aligns with each brand's aesthetic direction and goals
Filming and editing reels with strong pacing, hooks, and trending audio.
Attending client shoots and creating BTS, interviews, styling walk-throughs, etc.
Reporting on performance — Develop monthly analytic reports for each client.
Designing elevated IG graphics in Canva
Communicating with clients consistently — promptly responding to attending monthly meetings, asking good questions, offering fresh ideas, staying ahead

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS Experience with:
Instagram (Reels, Edits, Stories, etc.)
Canva
Scheduling platforms (we use HeyOrca)
Light video editing
Project management platforms like Trello
REQUIREMENTS
Experience managing social content for multiple brands or creators
Strong writing and visual storytelling skills
Based in the DC/MD/VA area and excited to be on-site regularly
Bonus if you love design, styling, interiors, and elevated brands

Step 3: Interview — If your exercise stands out, we'll hop on a call to get to know you better.
Step 4: Paid Ramp Period — New hires start at $24/hr with a structured 4-week ramp into full account load. You'll start with training and 1-2 accounts, then grow into 3-4 accounts as you hit performance benchmarks. Full-time salary ($52,500) unlocks when you're managing 4 accounts successfully — typically around 45-60 days.
Why we do it this way: We want to set you up to succeed, not throw you into the deep end. The ramp period protects you from burnout and gives us both time to make sure it's the right fit.
