Position As a Business Development Executive at Musixmatch, you will drive and execute partnerships, sales, and customer acquisition growth for Musixmatch’s suite of products and services. You will be responsible for the entire sales and business development cycle, including partner prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and deal closure.

What you will do Identify and pursue partnership and business development opportunities for Musixmatch’s suite of products and services.

Lead clear and structured discovery conversations to understand partner needs, goals, and constraints.

Build strong relationships with decision-makers and proactively move opportunities forward.

Develop compelling partnership proposals that address real business challenges.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, legal, finance, and leadership teams to structure and close deals.

Lead negotiation of commercial terms and support contracts through to signature.

Manage partner relationships post‑deal and ensure long‑term success and growth.

Provide structured market and partner insights to inform product and business strategy.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or complex B2B sales.

Proven track record of closing deals and managing full sales cycles.

Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders with credibility and without overselling.

Strong listening skills, with the ability to ask insightful questions and follow through effectively.

Clear and concise communicator (spoken and written).

Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to ‘read a room’, anticipate questions and issues, and tailor your pitch accordingly.

Strong understanding of the music ecosystem, with an established network within record labels, distributors, and other key stakeholders.

Personal drive, ability to work independently, and a natural problem‑solving mindset.

Organized and self‑reliant: comfortable working in a scale‑up environment and managing varied demands on your time and resources, including defining efficient structures and ways of working.

Excellent relationship‑building and networking skills.

Strong communication skills, professional fluency in English.

Technically literate, comfortable articulating a world‑class data service and capable of learning and integrating new technologies into sales strategies.

Analytical rigor, ability to analyze, optimize, and scale initiatives quantitatively.

Ability to manage high‑pressure situations calmly.
