Job Description The Electrical Foreman will lead crews in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within high‑performance data center facilities. This role is responsible for coordinating daily work activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with electrical codes and company standards. On a daily basis, the foreman will supervise electricians and apprentices, interpret blueprints, assign tasks, monitor job progress, and collaborate with project managers and site leadership. This position plays a critical role in maintaining power reliability for sensitive infrastructure while driving productivity and quality across the job site. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong technical electrical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience managing crews in commercial or industrial environments—preferably within mission‑critical facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and lead electrical crews on data center job sites
Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to team members
Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with codes
Monitor job progress and productivity
Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment needs
Train and mentor apprentices and junior electricians
Troubleshoot electrical issues and oversee repairs
Communicate with project managers and site supervisors
Enforce safety protocols and job site standards
Maintain accurate work documentation and reports
Required Experience/Skills
Several years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
Prior experience leading crews as a foreman or lead electrician
Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience working on large‑scale projects or critical facilities
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem‑solving abilities
Strong communication and organizational skills
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Nice-to-Haves
Data center or mission‑critical facility experience
Experience with power distribution systems and backup power
OSHA safety certification
Experience working on fast‑track construction projects
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Completion of electrical apprenticeship program preferred
