Overview
Lead and drive sales team focus on retail generators and aftermarket part Sales across targeted markets. Setting sales targets and following up on progress. Manage and report on all key sales deliverables, ensuring performance metrics are met and exceeded.
Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities for growth and implement effective sales strategies.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Utilize SAP software to generate accurate reports, track sales performance, and monitor inventory levels.
Drive use of CRM (Salesforce) amongst the team, enabling accurate forecasting and reporting.
Oversee inventory management, ensuring stock levels are optimized and stock age is effectively monitored.
Analyze and understand income statements and the key drivers impacting business performance.
Achieve and manage the required gross profit (GP) targets for retail generators.
Demonstrate effective self-management, taking ownership of personal performance and driving results.
Act as an enabler for the greater Africa team to achieve sales objectives.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
6-8 years in sales management role
>3 years Electrical Power Generation (EPG) experience
Engineering Qualification (Electrical or mechanical Engineer) and a marketing qualification would be an advantage
Proven experience in sales management within the generators and engines sector
Aftermarket experience would be an advantage
Strong understanding of sales performance tracking, financial reporting, and inventory management.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies based on market insights.
Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
