
Position Overview
We are seeking an organized, detail‑oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, excels at vendor relations, and brings strong analytical and negotiation skills to the table. You will play a key role in sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost‑effective purchasing decisions that support our operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Research, compare, and select the most suitable suppliers based on price, quality, and availability
Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with vendors
Prepare and process purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve vendor‑related issues
Maintain detailed records of order history, including quotes and vendor communications
Process material RMAs in a timely manner
Analyze price proposals and financial reports to support cost‑effective decision‑making
Build and maintain positive, long‑term supplier relationships
Ensure all procurement activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
Required Skills & Experience
Procurement, supply chain, purchasing, and inventory management experience
Strong understanding of purchase order processes and ERP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent negotiation, communication, and business relationship skills
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams
Logistical and accounting acumen
College degree required

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per hour.
