The Product Architect III provides presales and project support to Account Executives, Delivery teams, and customers. They will support the Sales team from the beginning of a sales cycle to understand a customer’s overall technology direction and applies expertise to develop the most optimal solution for the customer’s organization. The role is focused on identifying opportunities and defining solutions that include cloud, data center, networking, virtualization, security, and business continuity technologies. The Product Architect III will have multiple certifications and works closely with less experienced Product Architects in order to deliver high‑quality products and services.
Responsibilities
Manages an opportunity pipeline in conjunction with a team of Sales Account Executives in the territory. Serves as a “go‑to” technical presales resource engaged whenever an opportunity requires the respective area of expertise. Equips Account Executives with a basic understanding of CompuCom solutions. Participates in customer and prospect meetings as technical sales support and communicates with both technical and business audiences from systems administrator to CIO. Analyzes a customer’s needs and determines the best solution for the prospect. Participates in sales presentations in a technical role, leading the consultative sales process and offering technical solutions.
Provide education and thought leadership while translating customer business requirements into implementable technology solutions. Focuses on the creation and implementation of the Product Architecture by doing presentations and demos, writing proposals and documenting deliverables. Captures and processes the customer information to build a robust proposed solution that addresses the requirements while considering the solution’s efficiency, flexibility, scalability, reliability, and availability.
Coordinates and engages with other technical resources as necessary to provide the appropriate solution. Solutions the optimal combination of hardware, software, and services to meet the prospect’s requirements. Documents and validates the requirements for the solution. Develops bill of materials (BOM) for solutions of hardware, software, and services. Plays a supporting role in developing the bid or proposal and presents the solution to the prospect. Works with vendor partners to help drive business and support demand generation events.
Maintains account relationships over time to continue to deliver advice to the customer and identifies additional opportunities. Ensures continuity of the solution and maintains oversight from sale through completion of professional services delivery.
Develops tasks and engages with Professional Services to assist the creation of the statement of work as part of the solution.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum five to ten years of experience in the solution design, implementation planning, and deployment of Cisco and other multi‑vendor networking solutions.
Experience developing project plans, Level of Effort estimates, deployment and test plans.
Strong Cisco Enterprise Infrastructure Route Switch and Data Center Engineer.
Python scripting for Cisco device configuration automation.
Competency in design and deployment of Cisco security portfolio such as ISE, Zero Trust, Firepower, Umbrella, AMP and email security a plus.
Experience in design and deployment of data center and enterprise networking technologies such as NXOS, ACI, intent‑based network, DNA and SD‑WAN.
CCIE Certification
Wage Range The annual starting salary for this position is between $123,000– $165,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation This position is also eligible for incentive compensation in accordance with the terms of the applicable Company plan.
