Position Overview

As an SAP FICO Solution Specialist, you will be responsible for the hands-on configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of our SAP S/4HANA landscape on RISE Private Cloud Edition. This role focuses on the technical and functional execution of two critical end-to-end processes:

Record-to-Report (R2R)

GL, AP, AR, Bank Accounting, Financial Close, Group Reporting, Intercompany

Acquire-to-Retire (ATR)

Fixed Assets, Asset Accounting, Capital Projects, WBS Settlements, CWIP

Working under the direction of the R2R Lead, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and system functionality, providing the technical "know-how" to deliver stable and scalable solutions. You will leverage modern SAP technologies including SAP Fiori, Central Finance, SLT, SAP Ariba integration, GTS, and Advanced Financial Closing to enable a best-in-class finance function.

Responsibilities

S/4HANA RISE Configuration: Serve as primary functional configurator for SAP S/4HANA Finance on RISE PCE, leveraging cloud-native capabilities and clean core principles for R2R and ATR processes.

Record-to-Report (R2R) Execution: Configure and optimize end-to-end R2R processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, and Financial Closing using S/4HANA Universal Journal.

Acquire-to-Retire (ATR) Execution: Configure Fixed Asset Accounting (New Asset Accounting), capital project settlements, WBS elements, Construction Work-in-Progress (CWIP), and asset lifecycle management.

SAP Fiori Apps Enablement: Configure and deploy SAP Fiori apps for Finance users, including Manage Journal Entries, Manage Fixed Assets, Bank Account Management, and Financial Close cockpit apps to deliver modern user experiences.

Advanced Financial Closing (AFC): Implement and support SAP Advanced Financial Closing for automated close task management, orchestration, and monitoring across entities and ledgers.

Central Finance & SLT Integration: Support Central Finance architecture and SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) replication for real-time data integration from legacy systems (mainframe, BAAN, Infor LN) during coexistence period.

SAP Ariba Integration: Configure integration touchpoints between SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP Ariba for procure-to-pay processes, supplier invoice management, and payment processing.

SAP GTS Integration: Support integration with SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) for customs management, trade compliance, and export/import documentation impacting financial postings.

Banking & Treasury Operations: Configure banking interfaces including Electronic Bank Statements (EBS), ACH/WIRE payments, Positive Pay files, and bank communication management using SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity.

Data Migration Support: Support Greenfield data migration activities from legacy systems (mainframe, BAAN, Infor LN) including master data mapping, data validation, and reconciliation for finance objects.

Controlling Integration: Configure Cost Center Accounting (CCA) and Profit Center Accounting (PCA) to support management reporting, with integration to R2R and ATR processes.

Technical Documentation: Develop detailed functional specifications for custom developments and work with developers on SAP BTP Integration Suite and extension scenarios following clean core principles.

Lifecycle Support: Participate in all phases of Agile delivery, from backlog refinement and sprint planning to testing and deployment in the RISE PCE landscape.

Production Support: Provide Tier 2/3 functional support for complex production issues, identifying root causes and implementing permanent fixes while adhering to RISE change management processes.

Required Qualifications

5-8 years of hands-on SAP FICO configuration experience with focus on end-to-end processes (R2R, ATR)

Minimum 1-2 years of practical experience within an SAP S/4HANA environment (cloud or on-premise)

Experience with at least 1 Greenfield or Brownfield S/4HANA implementation project

Strong configuration skills in S/4HANA Finance: Universal Journal, New GL, New Asset Accounting, ACDOCA

Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori apps for Finance (Manage Journal Entries, Asset Management, etc.)

Experience with banking interfaces including Electronic Bank Statements, payment programs, and bank reconciliation

Understanding of SAP integration patterns with Ariba, GTS, or other cloud solutions

Knowledge of data migration approaches for Greenfield implementations (LTMC, Migration Cockpit)

Experience with SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation) or Central Finance concepts

Technical proficiency to navigate SAP backend (IMG), write basic SQL/CDS queries, and debug configuration issues

Solid understanding of integration between FI/CO and logistics modules (MM, SD, PS) - excluding Production Planning

Experience working within Agile, SAFe, or Hybrid project delivery methodologies

Strong understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS accounting principles

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field

Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex technical settings into plain English for business users

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States - visa sponsorship is not available for this position (U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or other valid work authorization required)

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience analyzing, designing, evaluating, modifying, testing and implementing enterprise-wide systems or business experience using ERP applications experience

At least 1 years of lead experience

Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience analyzing, designing, evaluating, modifying, testing and implementing enterprise-wide systems or business experience using ERP applications experience

At least 1 years of lead experience

At least 8 years of experience analyzing, designing, evaluating, modifying, testing and implementing enterprise-wide systems or business experience using ERP applications experience

Familiarity with SAP Signavio for process documentation and optimization

Experience migrating from legacy ERP systems (BAAN, Infor LN, mainframe) to SAP

Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or heavy equipment industries

Knowledge of clean core principles and SAP extensibility model on BTP

Experience supporting global, multi-company code SAP environments
