Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry, and structural repairs
Lead by example on the jobsite and supervise laborers or small carpentry crews
Interpret construction drawings and ensure work is performed to spec
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite
Solve construction and layout challenges in the field with a creative, can-do mindset
Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to on schedule and budget
Ensure all work meets Hercon’s high standards for quality and craftsmanship
Train and mentor junior carpenters and laborers as needed
Track materials, tools, and inventory for assigned tasks
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional carpentry experience required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to lead small teams and manage work independently
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong technical skills in framing, finish work, and cabinetry
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Good time management and organization
Must be a motivated, self-directed team player with professional demeanor
Own hand tools and valid driver’s license preferred
