
FIRE PROTECTION SALES/SERVICE TECHNICIAN

State Systems, Inc., the leading fire protection company in the Mid‑South, is growing and seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring that fire protection systems in commercial facilities are effective, installed, inspected, repaired, and maintained to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
Potential compensation for the first year is $45,000 to $60,000, with the opportunity for top performers to earn additional rewards.
Responsibilities
Sell fire protection services and products within the assigned territory, meeting sales quotas and following company guidelines.
Inspect, service, install fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and exit/emergency lighting.
Generate new prospects using creative lead‑generation techniques.
Present sales proposals to prospects, highlighting the features and advantages of State Systems’ offerings over competitors.
Follow up with prospects to close sales and maintain customer relationships.
Process work orders and complete all required paperwork according to approved procedures.
Provide on‑site service to existing book of business and new customers.
Qualifications and Core Competencies
Proficient in Windows‑based software and Microsoft Office 2000 or higher.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Strong analytical, mechanical aptitude, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a consultative sales approach.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to obtain a commercial vehicle endorsement if required.
Must be able to work a full‑time schedule and travel to client sites.
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Persevering, action‑oriented, and results‑focused with entrepreneurial drive.
Physical Requirements
In good physical condition with no limitations.
Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 75 pounds and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
Capable of pushing or pulling 100+ pounds as needed.
Able to climb ladders and reach at least 12 feet.
