Operations Real Estate and Construction Assistant
Overview
TransPerfect is seeking an Operations Real Estate and Construction Assistant to support facilities, infrastructure, supplies, and other non-core operations across the company's global offices. This role focuses on real estate needs, space planning, and coordinating construction-related activities to support the company's leased facilities.
Responsibilities
Work with brokers to gather information related to real estate alternatives
Analyze real estate options considered for lease and make recommendations
Coordinate with brokers, local company contacts and management to facilitate tours and obtain input from stakeholders
Summarize data into executive summaries for presentation to the COO
Create test fits for potential leased properties in CAD
Develop cost comparisons and make recommendations
Work with brokers, internal and external legal teams, and operations management to prepare negotiated leases for signature
Lease management: track occupancy costs and payments; ensure appropriate notices for renewals and terminations
Ensure adherence to free-rent agreements
Coordinate construction projects: create project schedules and work with contractors and vendors
Develop finish plans for architects and contractors; coordinate furniture purchases and layout
Coordinate all tenant vendors related to construction projects and vacating old premises
Global telephone/internet services: establish back-up providers, document procedures, and post information in each office
Coordinate with vendors to fix outages and establish standards for external offices
Obtain competitive bids for expenditures
Maintain open communication with other departments and global offices to support a growing network of offices
Special projects as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
2 years experience working with CAD
Strong problem solving abilities
Strong quantitative analysis skills
Excellent attention to detail
Flexible hours (occasional) to accommodate construction projects and moves
Able to perform under pressure
Proficient with MS Office, including intermediate Excel skills
Superior written and spoken communication skills
