TMG's Proposal Manager will report to the Vice President of Business Development and support TMG's Marketing and Business Development Department. The Proposal Manager will be responsible for coordinating and producing proposals in response to client requests, ensuring they meet company standards and client requirements, and are delivered within deadlines. The Proposal Manager must have great written and verbal communication skills, strong decision‑making ability, and attention to detail. This position will participate in proposal strategy in support of our firm's goals and will work alongside the Senior Proposal Manager, Estimating, and senior leaders to best present our company's qualifications to win new work.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the development of proposals, statements of qualifications, and prequalification submissions in compliance with the IFB/RFP/RFQ requirements

Reads and comprehends IFBs, RFPs and RFQs, determines requirements and possible questions/concerns

Develops customized, competitive, responsive, and compliant proposal narratives

Creates effective graphics, charts, and diagrams for inclusion in documents

Performs data mining of TMG's systems for factual project information

Works with senior staff and subject matter experts to develop compelling proposal content customized for specific client needs

Writes/edits specific proposal sections (e.g., Corporate Overview, Corporate Experience, Past Performance, Resumes, etc.) where applicable

Submits and tracks requests for Past Performance Questionnaires to clients when required

Provides quality assurance on formatting and content

Participates in the go/no-go process, including coordinating go/no-go meetings as required

Conducts proposal kick‑off and proposal review meetings

Implements brand standards across all platforms

Attends pre‑proposal meetings when appropriate/required

Attends public bid‑opening meetings when appropriate/required

Coordinates proposal requirements/data calls with teaming partners when applicable

Develops and maintains marketing collateral, including but not limited to project sheets, resumes, presentation slides, and other marketing materials required in the production of proposals and qualification statements

Minimum Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in the architecture/engineering/construction or related industry

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, graphic design, or a relevant field preferred

Need to possess strong written and verbal communication, research, and proofreading skills

Must be able to work independently and with others, show initiative, and take ownership

Appreciates and enjoys bringing a high level of detail to tasks

Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines

Must be able to lift and handle 50-pound objects;

Must be fully mobile and capable of walking job sites, climbing ladders and stairs multiple times daily to inspect work, direct subcontractors and TMG's own field forces, and assure safety and quality control;

Must have a clean driving record to facilitate getting materials from suppliers when necessary

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and MS Office Suite is necessary

Member of/involvement in SMPS and/or APMP, or similar marketing associations preferred
