Position Summary The Motion Graphics Designer is a highly skilled, hands‑on creative responsible for developing dynamic motion graphics and animations that elevate Scientific Games’ iLottery client brands across digital platforms. This role is ideal for a passionate motion designer who loves the craft, works efficiently, and takes pride in producing visually compelling, technically sound work. Reporting to the Director, Creative & Content Capabilities, the Motion Graphics Designer will create eye‑catching motion content for social media marketing campaigns across organic social, paid media, web, and other digital channels. This role operates in a startup‑like environment, building processes and scaling creative output as Scientific Games develops its production and creative agency serving Lotteries and adjacent markets. The ideal candidate has experience working with clients and is adaptable, collaborative, and energized by growth, creative challenges, and constructive feedback.
Job Duties / Key Accountabilities
Create high quality engaging motion graphics and animations that adhere to brand standards across a variety of use cases, including social videos, digital ads, app and web placements, and campaign extensions
Design animated elements and motion systems for Lottery campaigns that are visually engaging and bring products and promotions to life
Support the creative process through concepting, style frames, storyboards, and visual storytelling
Collaborate closely with the Director, Creative & Content Capabilities and cross‑functional partners to translate creative direction into polished motion work
Incorporate typography, photography, illustration, and video into motion systems with strong visual hierarchy, pacing, and timing
Knowledgeable in platform‑specific best practices, with the ability to design assets optimized for performance across Instagram, Meta platforms, YouTube, and other digital channels
Stay current on animation trends, motion styles, and emerging techniques, continuously evolving the look and feel of motion output
Execute clean compositing work, including masking, keying, layering, and integration of visual effects as needed
Support light VFX and 3D‑based workflows when appropriate
Render, export, and deliver assets according to required technical specifications, formats, and deadlines
Manage multiple motion projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting tight timelines
Incorporate feedback efficiently and professionally, maintaining a positive, solutions‑oriented mindset
Required Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Strong portfolio or demo reel demonstrating motion design craft, technical execution, and creative problem‑solving
5+ years of professional motion design experience, preferably in an agency or high‑output creative environment
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Strong understanding of foundational design principles, including composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy
Solid experience with motion fundamentals, including timing, pacing, easing, and visual storytelling
Working knowledge of compositing techniques and post‑production workflows
Experience working with keyframes, null objects, expressions or basic scripting, and multi‑layered compositions
Ability to multitask effectively and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
Positive demeanor with a collaborative, team‑first attitude
Ability to receive, interpret, and apply feedback constructively and professionally
Strong communication and organizational skills
Desired
Experience designing for iLottery, gaming, or other regulated digital environments
Familiarity with promotional and performance‑driven creative, including offers, bonuses, calls‑to‑action, and funnel‑based assets
Experience with VFX techniques, compositing workflows, or 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar)
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or experience working within editorial workflows
Production or on‑set experience is a plus
Experience creating motion graphics for live events, broadcasts, or live‑streamed content
Education Bachelor’s degree in related field.
