This position reports to: Proposals Manager Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation. The work model for the role is: Hybrid This role is contributing to the Automation, Measurement & Analytics Division, in Houston, TX. You will be mainly accountable for: Ensuring timely and accurate creation of tender documents through coordination with relevant stakeholders Managing all aspects of the bid including technical, financial, product management and risk reviews Attend customer pre-bid meetings if required (in-person if possible) Interface and communicate with customers and channel reps technically and commercially. Coordinating with the supply chain to identify suppliers for equipment and materials, through regular studies of customer needs and market trends Contributing to an effective, positive customer relationship throughout the sales process Examining and reporting on the results of tenders and identifying areas for improvement to increase success Ensure all proposal processes and procedures are followed Maintain and update tools and processes as necessary Qualifications For The Role
Bachelor's degree in Analyzer, Chemical or Instrumentation Engineering, or a similar field preferred. 5+ years of experience in preparing bids and tenders, working as proposal or inside sales with analyzers and systems integration preferred. Knowledge of process analyzers, sample systems, and systems integration. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously A collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong written and spoken communication skills but also able to work independently and under pressure Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US What's In It For You?
